30 electric buses from China arrived in Pakistan, marking a significant advancement for Islamabad’s Urban Transport Project.
Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa stressed the project’s importance, advocating for subsidies to ensure accessibility for senior citizens and students.
In a meeting chaired by Randhawa, urgency was emphasized for the construction of the bus depot, along with the expedited activation of charging points.
Additionally, plans are underway for the arrival of 70 more buses, with tenders awarded for the construction of bus depots at strategic locations.
The project aims to surpass current standards and may extend routes to the diplomatic enclave.
