The province of Punjab Cabinet sat in Lahore on Tuesday and it was chaired by the Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif. 15M million Euros were okayed to be acquired from KfW Development Bank Germany for a green energy project and solarization of schools and hospitals was authorized.
Legislation for the creation of the Punjab Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency (PEECA) was also approved by the provincial cabinet.
The support offered by the World Food and Agriculture Organization has facilitated the approval of the “Land Erosion and Livestock Management Project,” which will consequently create employment at the grassroots levels.
