The turbine features a modular, lightweight design with up to 20 MW of flexible power.
The manufacturer further said that with a rotor diameter of 260-292 metres (853-958 ft), the machine can generate 80 million kWh a year at an average wind speed of 8.5 m/s. This is equivalent to the annual consumption of 96,000 residents and enough to offset 66,000 Tons of CO2 emissions, Mingyang calculates.
